At the stand where the works of Ertuğrul Ateş (1954) are exhibited solo, 3 new canvas works measuring 350x225 cm. will be featured.

The artist; in his recent series titled ''Üç Derviş '' ('Three Dervishes'), ironically emphasizes the positive and negative aspects of the changing world order with the trilogy ‘The Dervish Who Doesn't Know’, ‘The Dervish Who Doesn't Hear’, ‘The Dervish Who Doesn't See’.

In his own words; ''I identify the stance of the artist with the stance of the dervish. One leg of the compass is at our own center, the other leg encompasses the entire world we perceive. This is a period where the questions asked and the answers received degenerate along with the change in the world, where the concept of rights is lost... What we perceive needs to be questioned. I am discussing this situation with a confused dervish...''

Alev Gözonar, one of the Çağla Cabaoğlu Art Gallery artists, brings a different dimension to Contemporary Turkish Art using movement, sound, and light in her installation titled “ REDDEDİYORUM ÇÜNKÜ....” (“I REJECT BECAUSE....”), which will be exhibited in the main foyer at Contemporary İstanbul and will meet its audience for the first time at this fair.
